WE ARE ALL ROOTED
SOMEWHERE
In the places live and call our own - however small.
A sunny apartment window.
A backyard plot.
A third of an acre.
A homestead.
A farm.
Little Roots Garden exists to honor the truth that growth begins with tending - wherever we are rooted.

ABOUT US
Little Roots Garden is a working garden and small agricultural operation rooted in the belief that care, when practiced consistently, has the power to transform even the smallest places. Our work unfolds across two growing spaces: a two-acre homestead in Mapleton, Oregon, and a 1/3-acre nano farm in Bend, Oregon. Across these sites, we grow food, forage, wildcraft, and teach — tending land with attention, responsibility, and respect for natural cycles. We practice regenerative agriculture and biodynamics, alongside polyculture and vertical growing methods that allow diverse plant communities to thrive. These approaches remind us that abundance is not dependent on scale, but on relationship — between soil and plant, animal and land, effort and time. Little Roots Garden is not only about what we grow, but how we grow. The garden is a place where responsibility is learned through participation, where beauty is created through care, and where small, consistent efforts are allowed to become something lasting. At its heart, this work is a remembering: that meaningful growth begins where attention is given, and that when something is tended with care, it is allowed to take root and bear fruit.
